Dry stone walling bibliography

This bibliography includes those publications referred to in the text, as well as others relevant to the subject of dry stone walling.

Many of the older titles are out of print, but should be available through libraries. Over the years, proceedings of local historical societies and other similar local publications have included articles on the history, wildlife and other aspects of local walls. Research in county record offices, libraries, museums and other local sources should be rewarding for those interested in the walls in their area.

Not listed here are the leaflets and booklets available from the Dry Stone Walling Association, which are of interest to the working waller and dyker, as well as to those with a more general interest in the craft. Details are available from the Dry Stone Walling Association.
